Skill Boosters improve individual skills, buffs or effects. Combining matching boosters also activates set bonuses; higher levels unlock signatures and resonances.

Equipping Boosters

Equip boosters on inventory page VI. You can wear up to six different boosters at once. You can only equip each booster once, even if you have another copy at a different level.

Click Manage to view your equipped boosters, their levels, ranks and upgrade costs.

The Four Booster Types

A booster's type determines what it improves: a specific attack skill, a buff, or an effect such as poison or area damage.

{equipment:700000:icon} Attack: Increases the damage of the corresponding attack skill; some boosters also reduce its cooldown.
{equipment:703300:icon} Buff: Depending on the booster, improves the buff's strength, duration or maximum stack count.
{equipment:704700:icon} Affliction: Improves poison, burn, bleed or curses, regardless of which skill applies the effect.
{equipment:705300:icon} Zones: Improves area, explosion and reflection effects, such as their damage, radius or duration.

Levels and Ranks

Booster level, booster rank and the level of your actual skill work independently.

Upgrade	Progression	Effect
Booster level	1–10 → M1–M10 → G1–G10 → P	Improves values and unlocks additional properties.
Booster rank	Normal → Exotic	Adds 2% of the base value per rank to percentage-based values, up to +22%. Rank is retained when leveling up.
Skill level	The level of your actual skill	Also affects the bonus provided by attack boosters.

Attack Booster Scaling

Each additional skill level increases your attack booster’s damage bonus by 0.7 percentage points. From booster level G1, it also increases critical skill damage as shown in the table. The values under “Per Skill Level” are added to the base critical damage bonus as percentage points.

Show Critical Skill Damage by Booster Level

Booster	Base Crit Bonus	Per Skill Level
G1	15%	+0.5%
G2	17.5%	+0.6%
G3	20%	+0.7%
G4	22.5%	+0.8%
G5	25%	+0.9%
G6	27.5%	+1%
G7	30%	+1.1%
G8	32.5%	+1.2%
G9	35%	+1.3%
G10	37.5%	+1.4%
P	40%	+1.5%

Values at Normal rank, without set bonuses. Rank and set bonuses further increase the displayed values.

Additional Skill Mappings

Set Bonuses

Different equipped boosters from the same class set count together. Attack, buff, affliction and zone boosters can complement each other.

2 pieces at level 1 or higher: +3% booster amplification
3 pieces at level 1 or higher: −5% cooldown for the target skills of equipped set members
4 pieces, each at M1 or higher: +20% relative increase to certain signature values
5 pieces, each at P: An additional +10% booster amplification and set resonance

The bonuses stack; each threshold checks its minimum level separately. Five different matching boosters at P are enough, even for larger sets. This gives a total of +13% to the affected booster values, not a flat 13% increase to final damage.

Hold Shift while hovering over a booster to see the expanded tooltip with set members, bonus requirements and resonance.

How Set Bonuses and Signatures Interact

M1 counts; G1 unlocks: Four M1 pieces meet the set threshold but do not yet have a signature. A G1 booster can benefit alongside three other matching M1+ pieces. For example, a 25% signature value becomes 30% with the bonus. This bonus does not change duration, range, stack limits or trigger counts.

Resonances

Five matching boosters at P also activate the resonance. It improves the named boosters while they are equipped. Percentages apply to their bonus values; a resonance does not replace a missing booster.

Class	Resonance	Effect on the corresponding booster
{classes:warrior:body-warrior}	Blade Storm	+1 stack for Aura of the Sword, +1 Blood Rush stack
{classes:warrior:mental-warrior}	Iron Skin	Thorns +15 %, Strong Body +1 stack
{classes:ninja:dagger-ninja}	Venom Blade	Poison and bleeding damage +15 %
{classes:ninja:archer-ninja}	Glowing Tips	Burn +15 %, Poison Explosion radius +15 %
{classes:sura:weapon-sura}	Soul Eater	Enchanted Blade life steal +50 %
{classes:sura:black-magic-sura}	Black Fire	Dark Flame damage +20 %
{classes:shaman:dragon-shaman}	Dragon's Wrath	Burning Crater and Meteor Shower damage +15 %
{classes:shaman:healer-shaman}	Storm Front	Thunder Curse tick rate +20 %

Crafting and Upgrading

You craft your own boosters; finished boosters cannot be bought from other players. The source of the materials depends on the booster type.

Attack: {items:96000:icon} Nemere, {items:96001:icon} Razador and {items:96002:icon} Jotun, including their heroic variants.
Buff, affliction and zone: Also require materials from {items:96026:icon} Islands of Etelascil, available from Paragon 2000.

Upgrading at the Crafting Bench

Level up: Obtain the required lectures from {items:175533} and {items:175532}.
Raise rank: Requires {items:250100}, among other materials. Rank can be upgraded independently of level.

In Manage, select your booster and click Refine (level up) or Raise rank. This opens the Crafting Bench at the matching recipe. Unequip the booster and place it on the bench to upgrade it.

Worked Example: How Is the Booster Factor Calculated?

For attack boosters, booster amplification increases only the booster contribution.
Matching skill-specific damage, such as the bonus from the {equipment:3447710}, is then added. The combined factor is squared.

Dark Aura example:

{equipment:703230} at Normal rank
Flame Spirit at P1: skill level 40
3% booster amplification from the set
33.30% Flamefield damage from the ring

Step	Calculation	Result
1. Booster bonus	122.5 + 0.7 × 40	150.5%
2. Booster amplification	150.5 × 1.03	155.015%
3. Add the ring bonus	155.015 + 33.30	188.315%
4. Form and square the factor	(1 + 188.315 / 100)²	×8.313

The tooltip therefore shows “Booster ×8.313”.

Additional damage sources:
Further bonuses to the same skill-specific damage are added in step 3.
Another 20 percentage points of Flamefield damage increase the factor to ×9.506 – about 14.35% more damage with all other values unchanged.

General skill damage and critical skill damage are calculated separately and do not belong in this sum.
